DON’T MISS THE FRIENDS’ WINTER BOOK AND BAKE SALE AT THE CHATHAM AREA PUBLIC LIBRARY!
Chatham, Illinois – Book bargains and delicious treats highlight the always popular Winter Book and Bake Sale on Saturday, January 18, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at the Chatham Area Public Library.
The Book Sale “Power Hour” for current members of the Friends of the Library will begin an hour prior to the event on January 18, 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. Affordable memberships are available for purchase – the 2020 membership levels include a Senior/Student rate of $5; an Individual rate of $10 and a Family membership rate of $15. A Friends Membership has privileges as each membership level affords a member to receive FREE book coupons for use at each of the 2020 Friends Book Sales!
“The Friends of the Chatham Library are actively involved with supporting the initiatives and programs of the Library,” said Rhona Kelley, chair of the Friends board. “We encourage community members to join the Friends of the Library and become involved in our many outreach opportunities.”
The fundraising activities and membership dues of the Friends of the Chatham Area Public Library allow the Friends to donate thousands of dollars to support the library and various programs, including Library on the Go, preservation materials for the Opal Lee Chatham Local History/Genealogy Room, home delivery of library books/materials, the adult and summer reading programs supplies and prizes.
The Winter Book and Bake sale features hardcover and paperback books for readers of all ages plus tasty bakery items. During the final hour of the book sale (2 p.m. – 3 p.m.), shoppers can fill a bag with books for just $2.00.
